Drawing, Painting & Collage 

Students created their whale drawings by focusing on Realism, value and blending techniques. After viewing the short video Austin’s Butterfly, we discussed critiquing artwork through using a scientific eye and how to give helpful feedback. Then, they paired up and critiqued each other’s whale drawings before adding the final touches. Next, they created their collage backgrounds using painted paper and a variety of blues to represent water. Great job 4th grade!
