<> Piet Mondrian <>
Students in Kindergarten learned about vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines while studying the art of Piet Mondrian. We focused on using cut paper lines to create squares and rectangles like Mondrian. The students also, practiced how to color in shapes using one directional coloring to create smooth color fields. The lesson finished with a Mondrian inspired storybook and discussion about his evolution as an artist from Holland to New York City.
