Trees of Life <<<>>> Inspired by the Artwork of Gustav Klimt

Created by 2nd grade 

Using cut metallic paper and pipe cleaners, second grade students created a Klimt inspired Trees of Life. We first read a storybook containing the Klimt's art and the students discussed art vocabulary found in his work like pattern. Next, each student created a patterned tree base and a spiral tree form. They had the option to add mini ornaments to their trees for a holiday twist.
